Have you tried to download the audio files and were only able to listen to the audio online?
This is a common problem with certain software. Quicktime for example, is one application that once loaded and set as a default will not let you "save as." Here are two ways to save an audio file from this web site.
METHOD 1: First, this is the way it is supposed to work: Click on the "MP3 Download" hyperlink on the resources page, or the file from the drop down menu on this page. A dialog box should come up giving you the option to save or open. Select save, then select the folder on your computer where you want to save the audio file to. Another way is to right click on the "MP3 Download", select "save target as", then select the folder on your computer where you want to save the audio file to.
METHOD2: If you know exactly which file you want to download (you can see it in your browser address window at the top) you can go to this URL: http://www.avalonhillsbiblechurch.com/audio/ and download which file you want by simply right clicking the file name (don't left click on the file because that will start to play the file). The more recent file names are more apparent; however, if the file you want to download is not apparent, go to this page ("Archives") and select the file to download/play from the drop down menus.
METHOD3: You can stop Quicktime from running in your web browser.
For Mozilla Firefox, select Tools, Options, Content, Manage. In the window, scroll down to MP3 and highlight file type. Select "Change Action" then select "Save them on my computer".
For Internet Explorer, this will stop the auto-run feature: Select Tools, Options, Programs, Manage add-ons, scroll down to and select "Quick Time Object". Select Disable. - If the "MIME Type Configuratin" window appears, select NO.
NOTE: Saving a file from a web site instead of playing from the web site is safer. Your anti-virus software is better abel to scan the file and prevent problems when it is not "in use". |
